The Shubie Shuttle...Forever Young
Scott Fraser had a contagious grin and piercing steel blue eyes that could melt your heart
or send you running. He was a great son, a great brother, a great friend and perhaps most importantly a great person. He touched the hearts of thousands and
will be fondly remembered by all.
Our Mission This web site has been established to perpetuate the memory of Scott Fraser, one of Canada's great stock car racing talents, who lost his life
at the age of 33 in a snowmobiling accident on March 20, 2004. It includes details on his life and racing career
and will continue to provide news regarding the Scott Fraser Racing Memorial Fund.

Slaunwhite Drives SFR Car to Victory Lane
(August 16/08) - SFR rookie driver Craig Slaunwhite has picked up his first CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour win; ironically at the track where the SFR last visited the series Victory Lane, exactly two years to the race - then with Shawn Turple, the team's
first protege for the Scott Fraser Racing legacy program. Both wins came at Riverside International Speedway, a track Scott Fraser ruled.

Craig Slaunwhite in SFR Car For '08
The second leg of the Scott Fraser Racing (SFR) legacy program is set to begin this season as rookie Craig Slaunwhite, from Halifax (NS), gets behind the wheel of the SFR car.
The legacy program started after Scott Fraser's death in 2004 - founded to keep Scotts' memory alive by helping promising
young racers - like so many helped Fraser in his racing career.
Fraser's family and crew put Shawn Turple in the car for a few races in 2004, then full-time on the CARQUEST Tour in
2005 - when he clinched rookie of the year honours. In 2006 the Fraser crew, with Turple behind the wheel, made their first
trip back to Victory Lane since Scott's death at the grand-reopening of Riverside International Speedway.
Early in 2007 - with the Fraser's blessing - Turple moved to the Steve Henderson team, and Frank Fraser got behind the
wheel of the SFR car for the rest of season.
Enter Craig Slaunwhite - two-time champion in the sportsman division at Scotia Speedworld. The SFR crew had been
watching him mature as a driver and planned to offer him a test later in the season. But when an August rain-date conflict
emerged for Fraser, they decided one-day ahead of time to "test" Slaunwhite by putting him in the car for a CARQUEST Tour race at Riverside; he surprised many by finishing eighth on the lead lap. They put him back in the car for the 200-lap Tour season finale, in which he led over 100 laps. Then he won a race in the car before the season was over.
Needless to say, Slaunwhite passed "the test" and will compete for CARQUEST Tour rookie honours this year in the No. 23 Atlantic CAT, Mountain Wild Blueberries car…
